Gratitude Week 17

This weeks topic is: Something you take for granted.

Hmm, as much as I would love to sit here and type “I don’t take anything for granted..’ I can’t. There are so many things that each of us take for granted each day that others are out there praying for and wishing they had.

The one thing that I need to stop taking for granted is my ability to stay at home with my children and enjoy every memory, milestone, and smile. There are so many parents, not just moms, who wish they could stay home but it just doesn’t fit their budget. I’m very blessed to be able to be a SAHM and I know this but I do complain a lot about things when I get frustrated or when the kids just aren’t listening. I need to start enjoying the fact that I am home with them to get frustrated because some parents work way too many hours to make sure their kids have everything they need and don’t get to spend that extra time with their children.

Now, I know that not every parent WANTS to be a SAH parent and that’s okay, too! This is literally the hardest job I have ever done but I wouldn’t change it! It takes a lot of patience, headaches, and frustration but at the end of the day I am so very glad that I am spending all this time with my girls.

What do you take for granted? Leave it in the comments!
