Family has always been an important part of my life. Growing up without a dad was very hard on me, especially when it came to placing the blame on myself for so long. I always knew if I ever had kids I wanted to make sure the guy would be there. Be present. It was my BIGGEST fear when I found out at 18 that I was pregnant. I was scared that he’d run like my dad did. But here we are… a happy fam[ily].
My husband, Chris, is my best friend and who I go to for everything. We’ve been together for almost fourteen years and have shared both really beautiful and really ugly moments. He’s always been my rock through it all. I am so very lucky (and thankful) that he’s the amazing dad and husband that he is.
Autumn, the girl who made me a momma, is definitely a daddy’s girl. I’ve had a lot of fun being her mom, even when it’s been tough. She’s taught me a lot over the years and I know she’ll teach me even more.
Sophia, the girl who proved me wrong. My biggest worry when I was pregnant with her was “how am I going to love two babies when I love my first so much?!?!” I didn’t think it was possible for my heart to grow even bigger than it already was. She proved me wrong. That girl.. she’s a mommy’s girl, a sasshole, and will always be found in a princess dress!
Ellie, the girl who completed our family. It’s been a wild ride through trying to conceive her to her pregnancy to now but one I would do over in a heartbeat. She’s the finishing piece to our families puzzle. She’s a mommas girl for now but we’ll see how it goes as she gets older.
